The Perks of Being a Wallflower: pushes reactors to become proactive. If this never happens for a shy person, then (so states Sam) the path is never in his control and thus, not truly his.
Ghost World: as teens you pledge that you and your best friend will never separate. Years later you call sometimes and reminisce about how it seemed like these changes were never going to happen.
